Coffee Shops

I am utterly amused with coffee shops. I work at Forza and visit often and I always wonder what people are actually doing at the coffee shops. Some people sit for hours staring at their computer screen, while others are glued to a good book. Some people come in and leave quickly while others meet with friends and talk for hours. Are all these people retired? in school? working from home? I am continually interested and thankful that I get to feed my obsession of people wathcing while working!

I can vouch for one main reason that some people come to the Gig Harbor Froza and it isn't the great atmosphere or the wonderful staff or even the amazing wine bar but it is the Luigi's scones!!! Luigi is a baker from Bremerton, WA and his recipes and homemade breads and scones are to die for! He bakes all night long and delievers all his yummies by 9am and than hits the sheets for the day! He is the quintessential baker from Italy! www.luidisbaking.com (PS. there is a rumor that he is going to be starting homemade pasta!!!!)

I never thought it would be possible to have so many books going at one time but it can only help my new hobby: reading. Please send me your favorite titles! I just finished a fun girly book from the Gossip Girls series and I am currently reading Girl's Poker Night, Angles and Demons and the Shack. On my list of titles future titles is Secret Life of Bees. Any suggestions?

What we've been up to:

Brett and I just got back from CA! We went down to Santa Barbara for Brett's best friends wedding, Brett Schussel. Brett and Nicole got married on Friday night at the Rincon Beach Club in Carpenteria. The wedding was beautiful and so much fun. All day Friday we got to hang out at the beach and than we spent the rest of the evening embracing some amazing aspects of a wedding! We watched a great couple exchange vows, we danced until our legs were sore, we hung out with some awesome friends and we spent the night in two hotel rooms with 15 of the Brett's friends.

It was such an eye opening experience to go to a wedding after planning and having my own. I got to pay special attention to all the details and admire all the time and effort Nicole put into her wedding. I dont think you ever really appreciate someone elses wedding until you have your own. Nicole's attention to detail was amazing. She had the most beautiful center peices, a candy station complete with clear baggies and stickers with Brett and Nicole on them to seal all our goodies, a fire pit with smores ready to be roasted, an S covered with espresso brown fabric and a sage green ribbon hanging on the front gate welcoming people to the wedding, a super cute photo book for the guests to sign, twinkly lights and lanterns everywhere, a personalized dance from each member of the wedding party, his and hers champagne glasses and so many more cute ideas!!!

Congrats Brett and Nicole! April 17, 2009

We spent the rest of ther weekend hanging out in CA! We went to breakfast in downtown Carpenteria, which is honestly the cutest beach town I have ever seen and would move there in an instant, I saw Chew literally cry so hard from laughing that he had to wipe his eyes, we spent the rest of Saturday morning at the beach playing frisbee, we drove back to LA with Laura, and we hung out Saturday night back in ol' Tarzana. Sunday was 97 degrees so Brett and I went to the park for more frisbee, a popsicle and some nice us time. Kyle took us to the airport in the afternoon and we had the most beautiful flight home. I am getting less and less scared flying which allowed me to see every single mountain from OR to Seattle. It was beautiful!!!! For views like that you might be able to get me back on a plane!

Life this week went as usual. We both worked, Brett went to school, I babysat Lucas, I walked three time, once with Amber!, which I am hoping to do more and Brett and I had an awesome dinner with my parents!!

M's Game!

As I sit here and sip my favorite part of the day, a nonfat foamy cappuccino, I cannot help but smile because of the fun night I had last night! Erica, Emily, Ashley and I went to the Mariner's game and they WON 11-3! We saw Ichiro hit a grand slam, Griffey hit a home run and our four little faces and the big sign we made on the big screen plus TV!

Brett is already in CA for Schussel's wedding. I go down tomorrow morning. He is already having so much fun being with his old friends and hanging out in the wonderful LA weather! The wedding is going to be fun and it will be really neat for Brett to see his best friend get married!

Time to get back to my bible study. I am sitting at Froza enjoying a coffee, two super fun girls behind the counter and some great music. Tonight bible study is at the wine bar! If you have never made it for a glass of wine or one of the amazing small plates you really should!

My 25th Birthday

Because I am still new at this blogging thing it is still fun and exciting to post something new, hence the amount of activity!

I want to thank every one for being so sweet on my birthday! I had two great parties and got to celebrate with some of my amazing family and friends. However, thank you to all of you who sent me emails, facebook messages or took the few minutes to call me! I really appreciate it. I also appreciate all my gifts. Everyone is so generous!

Happy Birthday to Jeff, Zach, Gavin and any other upcoming birthdays!

I had a great day today! I woke up to a house filled, I mean FILLED, with balloons and streamers draped everywhere!! Brett had decorated the whole house after I went to bed last night and even hand wrapped my birthday present. He wrote an amazing card as usual and gave me a brand new super cute HOT PINK iPod and a much wanted all edged brownie pan!!! I cannot wait to make a batch and have a corner piece every time! I spent the morning in class presenting my first of two presentations and than Brett and I spend the afternoon together running errands, catching up on life and eating a fabulous lunch at Kinza! All in all it was a great day!!

Easter and Birthday Week!

All my favorite people threw me a surprise birthday party on Saturday afternoon!!!! I honestly had no clue.

Erica asked me last week if I wanted to come to dinner on Saturday night? Of course I said, "yes", because 1. I cannot resist her or her cooking and her kids! 2. I wanted to do all I could to avoid my homework, duh! Unfortunately Saturday got closer and I started to get a little stressed, ok a LOT stressed, about school ending so I told her I might not be able to make it. Thankfully, being the homework avoider that I am, told Brett that we had to go to Erica's for dinner! We pulled up and outside parked on the curb was Elizabeth and Nicole's car! Of course, me having some blond streaks which cause plenty of blond moments thought, "Of fun, she must have invited the girls and forgot to tell me." I walked inside and "SURPRISE" out from the kitchen comes all the husbands, my parents and Brett's parents! They are sooo sneaky! We had a blast, ate good food, drank good wine, I received some amazing presents and hung with the kiddos! It was the perfect birthday party, minus my very much missed sisters not being there! Thankfully I get to see some of them on Sunday!

Brett and I went to Easter church this morning and it was awesome. Every time I am in church I can't help but think about how far I have come in the last year. Not only has God finally made himself present in my life but he brought me a man I only dreamed of having with traits I secretly wanted in my husband. God has helped me get through a year of craziness that is my masters program. He has brought me the most amazing girlfriends a girl can only dream of having and he has provided so much for us! We both have great jobs with the best employers possible. Funny because we both have the same employers! Thanks to our generous parents we have a super cute house with things I always knew I wanted ( a water front view, granite, white cupboards, multi-colored fiestaware, hardwood floors and tons of sunlight) and we both are healthy and happy! Life is great right now! I cannot help but thank both of our parents daily and God for helping us! Church was inspiring as usual, thanks to Gary Albert, and I always feel so overwhelmed with the songs. This morning especially because of the awesome singers and the twinkle in the eyes of all the memebers of the worhsip team!

I have been also been thinking a lot about Amy lately, probably because every time we have a family gathering it doesn't seem quite right because her and Zach are not there! My sister lives in Cleveland with her more than perfect husband, Zach. I honestly miss Amy every day and sometimes it even makes me cry why I think about. I love that we talk more and have the ability to talk on the phone for hours just to catch up. Thankfully they are only in Cleveland for two more years while Zach finishes dental school. Once they move home it will be awesome to hang out with them again! Amy was my first sister to move away for a long period of time, very involuntarily, but Zach got accepted to a great dental school and we always promise her four years is nothing. Thankfully it is already going really fast. Maybe just pray that when Brett applies to nursing school he gets in the Case Western nursing program so we can hang out with A and Z every day!!! Love you, Amus!

Ok, time to get back to the homework for my big day tomorrow!

First week of April!

The Teodoro's busy lives are beginning!

Brett went back to school on Monday and had class Mon and Wed night this week. Next week he starts his normal routine of class Mon-Thur night from 530-930pm. Yikes... he is going to be busy. However he is going to be done a few fun things into between like taking a class to become a kiteboarding instructor, going to his best friends wedding in CA, and various other things.

I have officially worked my first full week at the coffee shop! I will be working 5 days a week and I am really excited about it. It always seems to happen, when I don't think I have any plans after school ends a new job falls into my lap! Thankfully it always involves working for Scott and Chad. School is over in wxactly 2 weeks and I am really excited to be done.

I have seen Wyatt two times this week and she is so cute! She has not gotten any bigger and she looks pretty much the same: perfect!

Brett and I still planning to go to Australia in late August but we have also been playing with the idea of traveling to multiple destinations instead of settling somewhere. We'll keep everyone updated as our plans change!

Hope everyone is well!
