Double Chocolate Oreo Cookies
(how can Brett not like them, they have Oreo's in them!!!!)
2 sticks of butter(how can Brett not like them, they have Oreo's in them!!!!)
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cup of flour (I used whole wheat and they are still my favorite so go figure)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
1 cup cocoa powder (I used Hershey's special dark)
15 whole Oreo cookies final ground (I used a food processor)
How to make the delicious babies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add flour, baking soda, and salt slowly so it doesn't flour your kitchen. Add chocolate chips and mix well. Add cocoa powder and lastly the Oreo cookies and mix well so all the dough is dark brown.
Scoop desired size cookies onto baking sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes or until they are just cooked through. Let cool on sheet for a couple of minutes and then DEVOUR with milk!
Oh man, can you see the gooey chips in the middle?!?!?! These are magic!
I have been spending my Saturday baking and cooking because my parents are in Maui right now and I am beyond jealous of them so I am spending day doing what makes me the most happy... cooking!!! Mom and dad, when you come back tan and I am fat, we will know who's to blame... and it won't be me!!! No but really, while I am very jealous I am actually prepping for Brett arrival home from his LAST day of nursing school!!!!!! I applaud him and you should too! He is spending his very last shift at the hospital today and I am making him a feast for dinner tonight! He will probably be too tired to even see his plate or homemade lasagna and cookies but they will be there!
Brett has spent the last 11 months busting his buns to get near perfect grades in nursing school and I could not be more proud of him!!! He worked so hard, made every one of his patients feel like royalty and he did it all with his usual smile and great attitude! Whom ever hires him will be thankful they did!!!! Graduation is Sunday May 8th so be sure to congratulate him when you see him!! Those of you WA people you will be seeing him and I sometime in the first week of June because We Are Moving Home so congratulate him then!!!!!!!!!!!
Love to you all!
