Prayers and Praise for Aaron!

Our good friend Aaron Moss was moved out of the ICU!  He received his transplant surgery at UCLA on April 9th and is currently doing well.  Feel free to follow Aaron on this road to recovery!

So I just got some more information on little Jack.  He had surgery on Wednesday May 9th and it seems all went well!  He turned 5 on surgery day and as his family says, he got the best present ever.... his life!

Another update.  Jack had to go in for emergency surgery about an hour ago to relieve some pressure on his brain because the drain was not working properly!  Thankfully it seems that all went well and he is out of the OR and back into the ICU!  I sure wish Brett was there taking care of him!!  Little Jack would be laughing and smiling with Brett around.  However, from what I can read it seems like Jack has some great nurses and doctors.

So, you may be asking what you can do.   As a messenger of information all I can ask for is prayers for Jack and his family!!  We all know we would want them if we were in their position.

Happy 5 Year Old Jack!!!

What would you do if you were told your 5 year old son had a tumor the size of a tennis ball in his brain and there is nothing you can do about it?  Devastation, anger, sadness, tears, unimaginable fear of losing your baby.  Did any of those things come to mind? Because they sure did for me.  I friend of mine, James Simon, whom I attended City U with, has a nephew, Jack, who is facing this issue right now.  He is 5 years old and was told on April 19th that his tumor was inoperable.  Words cannot even describe how the family must feel or how they are coping with their pain and the confusion in little Jack's mind.  All the family can do is pray.  Even if you don't believe in God, Jesus, a higher being or miracles you can still pray.

~ you love to roll in all directions!

~ you can bear crawl across a room and you are starting to get up on your knees!

~ you love your tag blankey!

~ you sleep really well at night (sometimes you don't even need a feed until you wake up)

~ you nap terribly... :) (we're working on that one)

~ you are on and off day by day with solids

~ you love your bottle and get so excited when you see it!

~ you are obsessed with Pete (you will stop eating or playing just to watch him)

~ you laugh, giggle, and smile ALL the time!

~ you are sitting really well but you still can't be left alone or you will tumble (thankfully you don't cry when you fall over)

~ you have only had one diaper rash and you were such a good sport!

~ you are very happy unless you are hungry or tired

~  you love to go on walks and run (which we do almost daily)

~ the iPhone could be the only toy on the planet and you would be super happy

~ you are long and lean like your daddy!
