Cooking Class!!!

Trevi and I made cookies for the office on Monday morning!  She was such a great little sous chef!!!  She grabbing everything these days and sticking it straight in her mouth!  It is very fun to watch!

This was a big week for Trevi!  She spent 2.5 days and 2 evenings with daddy while I was working or at other engagements!  I hated being away from her and while I don't usually plan so much in a week it just kind of worked out that way.  I can only imagine what they did all day but Brett did send me a few pictures along the way so I got a glimpse into their fun time together!

We also got some snow this week so Trevi and I popped out to enjoy it from our front deck! I would so much rather it be cold and snowing than raining and gray all the time.  This was a nice little surprise!!

18 WEEKS!!!!

Trevi has been very busy this past week!  She went to Sammamish to visit her buddy Rowan ( I know his mom, Rachel,  from college and she is a great friend of mine.  While I don't see her as much as I would like it was fun to catch up finally!)  She went to her first wedding in Snohomish!  She is sleeping really great (pray it lasts)! She went to her first mom's group at church plus bible study with the ladies! (She was an angel and slept through both)  She had her 4 month Dr. appt and got her second round of shots (I did not cry this time but she sure did), she rode on a bike for the first time and she ate her first bit of people food!

Eager to Eat!!!

 OK, I am not really sure why I am soooo excited about this stage in Trevi's life but I cannot wait to feed her some solid food!  It may be because I love to cook so I feel like I get to try some new "recipes" or it may be because I am super excited to feed her some delicious, wholesome, real food as her first foods!  Either way I am super excited to start and I am praying the doctor gives us the ok at her 4 month appointment tomorrow!  I will be honest though, I did give her a little avocado the other day! (Don't rat me out for doing it early!) So, in preparation for tomorrow I have made a little meal for her!  It is in the fridge all ready for her!!!  Plus, I got to use my super duper cool baby food processor!!!!  It made cooking a sweet potato effortless!!!  All you do is peel, chop, throw in the food processor, it steams it for you and then purees it for you in 25 minutes!! So cool!  

 Making sure I do it right the FIRST time!! (as Brett would say, "You don't pay a ton of attention to details" and I don't want to break this thing so I am reading directions before and during use!!!

4 months old!!!!

March 7, 2012-- my baby girl is 4 months old today!!!! (Happy Birthday Memphis!)  Trevi loves standing, laughing, smiling, going for walks and lounging around in her jammies!

 17 Week Old Baby Trevi!!!

 OK, Pa gets the first shout out on this post!  Happpppppyyyyy Birthday!

 Not for long!

 I had some girlfriends over for Ladies Night at my house!  It was so much fun to hang out with some new people and share some laughs with them!  I had a blast cooking and baking for the party and was told everything turned out pretty good! I stole a few ideas from my favorite restaurants and pinterest but I can assure you I made everything myself! (Brett may have helped a little!!)

Here's what was on the menu:

*pizza with pesto and red sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto and topped with an arugula salad

*spicy pesto hummus with pretzel chips

*crostini with goat cheese and candied jalapenos

*banana bread

*lemon coconut cupcakes with coconut frosting

Brett's cousin Steve and his wife, Val and their baby girl Brielle came over for dinner!  Bri is just 5 weeks older than Trevi so it was fun to see all the differences between them!  It is exciting to see what she could be doing in 5 short weeks!
